Based on the idea that sustainability and productive inclusion should go hand in hand, a study is being developed to explore the role of technical assistance (ATER) for family farming in the country’s fair climate transition strategy. The case study will identify how technical support can contribute to the productive inclusion of small producers in transitioning grain production (soybeans and corn) from conventional to regenerative and organic models. Soybean and corn production is the largest in Brazil and has the potential to drive a large-scale shift in production practices. Most agricultural businesses producing these crops are small-scale and are being excluded from the transition due to the lack of coordinated public policies, including Technical Assistance.
Besides funding the study, Arymax is actively involved in managing the initiative, connecting key players who can drive the issue and strengthen it within both the public and private sectors. We also help disseminate knowledge in a practical way to improve the conditions of productive inclusion for family farmers through Technical Assistance.
